Art courses in Florence: Drawing

This course, available to beginners and advanced students, has a duration of 2 or 4 weeks (prolongable) and is usually organized in the following way:

• Realistic representation of still life,
• importance of lines in an object’s character,
• discovery of chiaroscuro and perspective.

The course gives particular importance to chiaroscuro or light and shadow. It's necessary to learn not just how to recognize the different tones but also the different densities of shadow, whether it be sharp or soft lines. Learning to recreate the variety and richness of this reality will help you to then express different materials in your drawing: from a piece of soft fabric, to the reflections from metal to the transparency of glass. At the same time the teacher will try to help you develop your own style of drawing, different from that of others. At the end, after either two or four weeks, you'll be surprised to discover that you can now see and draw details that you couldn't see before.

The course will be held in two afternoon lessons of about 3 hours each per week. Lesson can be held in Italian, English and french.
