School Description

Liden & Denz was founded in 1992 as a private school teaching Russian to foreigners. The combination of a Russian company and Swiss ownership means they offer the very best in Russian language teaching within an efficient international organization.

The language school Liden & Denz Language Centre in Moscow was opened in 2003. Bringing a new and fresh style of integrative language teaching to Russia, Liden & Denz is also playing a vital pioneering role in Russia's emerging private education and training sector. The school is licensed by the Russian Government to teach Russian to foreigners.

School building / location

Our school in Moscow is located in the central part of the city, a short walk from the Belorusskaya Railway Station, a terminus for trains from Berlin and Warsaw. Our premises are on the ground floor of a building that belongs to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Most of the office space is used by foreign diplomats and accredited correspondents of the international press. The closest metro station (Belorusskaya) can be reached on foot in less than five minutes.

Our school features 10 classrooms and is equipped with the latest technology (several workstations with wireless Internet for our students, LCD TV and DVD sets in most classrooms). At school we offer hot and cold drinks. Moderately priced places for lunch can be found around the corner from the school.

Facilities:

Our centre in Moscow is a purpose built language school which features 10 modern classrooms, a library and state of the art technology like DVD sets in all classrooms, a wireless zone and flat screen internet workstations.

Accommodation:

For our students we usually organise home stay (single room/half board), which is considered to be the most popular type of accommodation. We also offer shared flats (single room/no board), hotels at attractive prices in all categories or help rent an apartment according to your requirements.

Activities:

We offer a varied programme of activities (which we change every fortnight) that promotes contact between students. It is also an excellent way to become familiar with the city’s numerous artistic treasures, such as the Hermitage, one of world’s most prestigious museums. Guided tours will present you the Russia of the Tsars and of Dostoïevki. In the summer, parties are organized and the school offers you an assistance service to help you organize visits or excursions to Saint Petersburg or the rest of the country.

Equipment:

• The classrooms are in a class of their own. Bright, welcoming and equipped with the latest in educational technology, they turn learning into a pleasure.
• Between classes, students can meet at the ActiLingua multimedia library which features German-language literature and the latest issues of newspapers and magazines. You can watch videos, listen to language cassettes or work at the computer. Courses also take place at the ActiLingua annexe.
